All of our homeschool activities are planned by our parents who bring their ideas and suggestions to our annual planning meeting each summer. We gather those ideas and parents volunteer to coordinate events throughout the year. Each year's calendar changes based on needs and desires of our member families. However, we stay flexible enough to take advantage of opportunities that arise throughout the year.
Classes are held each Thursday through the school year and provide our families an opportunity to participate in regular core classes. Typically, 2 classes are held for all ages, and are taught by parent volunteers. Costs for co-op classes are kept low by parents helping to teach, or aid in the classroom.
Educational Field Trips and/or social gatherings are planned monthly. These range from museum tours, to park hikes or even camps. All monthly activities are planned and coordinated by parent volunteers.
Outreach activities and encouragement for parents are offered on a quarterly basis. Outreach may be caroling at a nursing home or volunteering at a food pantry. Encouragement for parents may be a Parent's Night out, Mom's Prayer and Tea or Curriculum Retreat.
