MICHN's Vision is for the state of Michigan to be a place where Christian families have freedom to pass on their faith in Jesus Christ through Biblically-centered, parent-directed, home-based, privately-funded, life-long home discipleship.
MICHN's Mission is to provide information, instruction, and inspiration for Michigan's home educators.
NHME is dedicated to helping your students become flourishing muscians. They are a family oriented, multi-generational program. Parents can learn and play right along with their students! Instruments are available for rent and instructors more than happy to help you choose particular instrument. NHME has beginning Strings and Band ensembles, as well Strings Orchestra, Concert Band, and Choir.
When it is time for your student to begin the process of obtaining a driver's license, you will need to contact a third party Driver's Education School. The State of Michigan Website has a list of schools. More information can be found on the FAQ's page.
Sauder Village offers a wonderful volunteer program for students 12-16. As Junior Historians students interact with guests and visitors as costumed interpreters.
The Toledo Zoo offers volunteer opportunities to students 13-18. The application process begins in January of each year.
Adrian Center for the Arts offers opportunities to children, students, adults through classes, workshops and artist’s studio spaces.
Civil Air Patrol’s aerospace education mission promotes aerospace, aviation and STEM-related curriculum, activities and careers.
